The variable-speed 11 amp motor provides 170 to 340 rpm and 1,700 to 3,300 beats per minute. The hammer delivers 6.2 foot-pounds of impact energy in regular operation, and up to 7.4 foot-pounds in turbo mode.
The turbo-powered unit thus features 20 percent more power in hammer-only mode. The SDS-Max system delivers tool-free bit changes with automatic bit locking, dust protection, and a maximum-impact energy transfer rate. The tool includes such extras as innovative service modules designed so a qualified service technician can quickly replace the brushes and cord and Constant Response circuitry.
